So on friday mom is going to take chloe in for her final visit to the vet. I haven't decided if i can handle going to be with her or not. I have one week to be with my dying cat. She has been my baby for 18 years of my life and to say goodbye to that, i know, is going to be extremely hard for me. I don't want to her to go however i can see and recognize her failing health and understand that her quality of life has gone down the shit hole. This has to be one of the things i have feared most in life ever since i was little and use to tell chloe that i don't know what i would do if something happened to her. Needless to say this will be a very hard week for me.
Jenica just lost her dog, it was around 15 years old and had gone blind. Hattie would get really scared when jenica wasn't around and her parents on Friday told Jen that Saturday would be the last day. Her dad dropped Hattie off at the vet which i made mom promise to me she wouldn't do. If anything i want chloe to have a face she can recognize before she dies. To feel all alone and scared, thats not the way i want her to go.
in all i don't think i'll ever be ready for this.

aw allie, it's so difficult to cope with the death of a loved one, especially a pet like chloe who we've loved her whole life, but you're doing a great job of being sensible and understanding her needs. i know that mom will be a faithful companion to her as she goes, and maybe it will be more helpful for chloe if you stay home and pray for her and let mom be a calming family member for her at the vet. ill be praying for her on friday, too, and please call me if you need anything--dad has put money on the card.
