Maggie Mae

Welcome to the newest Tomkie family member, my parents new dog! I'm totally flabbergasted, however strange it is, by the fact that they actually got a puppy. My mom has been talking about getting a lap dog for over a year now. Its funny that after i've been gone a little over a month they get a dog. As kerry put it "do you feel replaced". Even if i did, how could i be mad at this tiny little animal, looks like she could be a stuffed animal. I like the name, i was expecting her to be named Sophie or Sophia which i was happy they didn't cause i thats Bittie's middle name...bittie sophia tomkie. Being the loving mother that i am i'm worried about Bittie's reaction to the pup. It usually takes her a week to get use to another animal.

In other news this was my Saturday night....thats right another drunk allie night...god damnit! We started out at Megan's place (on right) and had some pre drinks at her place met her friend Heather (left) also. Then we all went to Wrigglyville and to this one pub where they were playing the cubs game (haha cubs lost) and then the dancing began. I've said this before to the girls, that they would have to get my pretty drunk to go into that place...and they did. We danced and danced, i would have to say i haven't done that kind of dancing in a very long time. I had one guy, i shall call him spinny, he loved to turn girls, just LOVED it. He was cute though so i put up with it, plus he wasn't that bad of a dancer once he got past the drunk spinny thing. Then we danced some more, moved to another area to dance where i got to dance with this other guy who also was a great dancer (thank GOD!) and we danced for a very long time. He wasn't all that bad, got a little too familuar at times but got my hint on when to back off.

It was a night for firsts and as always an exciting night in the city.

Then on sunday i went out with Megan and Heather and as megan said (choo choo all aboard the hangover train, theres room for you!) that pretty much sums up my Sunday. So we wondered around DWS, a women's haven which i couldn't buy anything in, i.e. my personal hell. After Heather had to leave and megan went to this corner restaurant-ish joint where i got an amazing brat w/kraut and then to caribou coffee where we sat and chatted then wondered around to look at some shops in the area. It was actually nice to get out. Then we came back to my place and she helped me pick out an outfit for my date with Tom. Tom picked me up and we went to this bar, actually is was a nice "hole in the wall". We had garlic fries and chicken tenders, not bad. I couldn't eat much, iffie stomach and all. Then we wondered around the bookshop across the way, which i do love bookshops, there great. Then we saw Ghost Town, which i actually expected it to be better then it was. I feel like it needs either a great comedy or an amazing drama/romance flick....not dating material. It was fun except for on the ride home my stomach started acting up and i got very nautious. I was glad to be on solid ground when i got home.

so all in all interesting weekend, and here's to a relaxing monday.
